Think your renovation is going to be stressful? Wonder how you are going to live without a functional kitchen for so long? Why not turn your dread into delight and write a blog. That’s what my clients Jennifer & Sean decided to do. Their blog all started with the purchase of their first home together and 3 years later it’s still going strong. It covers the research stage, design, demo and installation and many other things in between!
Blogging is a great way to network with other people who are also renovating their homes. You can read about their projects and in turn they will read about yours! If there is something you are stuck on, create a post and you might be pleasantly surprised that someone’s reply has helped you on your way. Have fun with it and it will surely make your project more enjoyable. You will get a lot of positive feed back but be prepared for some negative and try not to take it too personally!
Another great reason to blog is that you may have friends and family who don’t live close by but you want to share your progress with them. So why not take a lot of before, during and after pictures and post them to your blog. What could be more exciting for you and your friends then seeing the transformation of your space?

So as you start out on your renovation journey, why not jump online and start your own blog. Not sure where to start, check out my clients blog http://ramblingrenovators.blogspot.com/2009/07/2.html and of coarse continue reading all of the other great posts here on http://www.myaya.ca!
