For the first time ever the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo took place outside of the U.S. and was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, downtown Toronto. AyA Kitchens was proud to announce that through a co-operative effort with our green board supplier Uniboard, AyA is reducing the upgrade price of EVO™;our flagship green line of cabinetry, by 25%. AyA’s EVO™ is LEED compliant, FSC certified (SW-COC-003188), and zero emmissions – all functions of Uniboard’s NuGreen panels.
With the ever pressing concern for our environment and future generations, AyA Kitchens is always looking to further enhance their commitment to the world in which we live in. Since the kitchen is the room we spend the most time in, it makes sense to try and keep this space the healthiest we can. This is the focus of AyA Kitchens’ new EVO™ Greenbuild display, which focuses on bringing together the latest products and technologies to create an amazing, sustainable kitchen living space.
AyA featured the contemporary sophistication of its new SoMa Country Walnut door, which is made with no added urea-formaldehyde particle board and is also FSC certified. All appliances in the booth are supplied by Euro-line and all include an Energy Star Rating. Paint provided by Benjamin Moore is a no VOC Eco Spec Pastel and the lighting is all LED.
Both AyA’s standard line of cabinets as well as its no-emission EVO™ line are made from 100% recycled EPP certified (Environmentally Preferable Product) 100% post industrial wood fiber particleboard. AyA’s standard line of cabinetry is a certified low-emissions product, certified by the KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer’s Association) as part of their Environmental Stewardship Program.
AyA’s own recycling and waste reduction programs are cutting edge in the kitchen industry. AyA uses the latest computerized technology to optimize material utilization to keep waste to a minimum. Whatever waste is produced is extensively recycled and AyA has initiated a company wide energy conservation initiative with the goal of ongoing reductions of its carbon footprint.
